“We are very pleased for our Year 13 students who have received an excellent set of results today, reflecting both their hard work and determination and the quality of our teaching and learning environment at St Edward's School.
“This year, 21.2% of all passes were at the highest grades of A and A*, 48.3% of passes were graded A* to B, and 70.6% were at A* to C. These results are significantly improved on grades in 2019, the last year of results before the disruptions caused by the pandemic. Such strong results will empower these young people to follow their ambitions and create bright and fulfilling futures.
“It has been a great privilege and pleasure to know this cohort. We have seen them develop both academically and personally, growing into the well-rounded, capable and community minded individuals they are. The St Edward’s staff and I wish them every success on their onward journeys in education and beyond. I look forward to hearing of their future achievements and successes.”
- Michael Antram, Executive Headteacher, St Edward’s School
We commend the achievements of all our students, but the following are notable for exceptional performances:
- Grace McQuillan, who achieved A*s in Geography, History, and Sociology and will be studying Geography at the University of Oxford.
- Hope Greetham, who gained an A* in English Literature and an A in both History and Religious Education, and will be studying English and History at the University of Bristol.
- Ejiro Erhijivwo who achieved As in History, Business Studies, and English Language who will be completing a gap year before going on to study Law.
All students received their grades at home with their families. The school also ran a celebration breakfast in school for those students who wished to come in to see staff and their peers on results day.
