My name is Collette Morgan and I am Director of Learning for Transition and Year 7. I also teach RE for students from Year 7 all the way to Year 13.
I have a unique insight into how students at St. Edward’s feel as I was previously a student at St. Edward’s myself; and clearly loved it enough to come back!
Part of my role is to work with our Primary schools and our new families to help and support students as they transition from junior to secondary school. I then continue to build strong relationships with students as they begin Year 7, seeing them successfully into Year 8.
I oversee the academic and pastoral progress of the year group ensuring that all students’ needs are met. For me there are many different facets to my role and I believe it is important to invest in and guide all students holistically on their personal, spiritual, and educational journey.
Here are some interesting facts about me;
- I completed a Theology degree at Winchester
- I’ve just finished my Masters in Education
- During my training I worked at Bournemouth Collegiate School and St. Peter’s School here in Dorset
- I love getting outside for long walks with my dog Fleurie
